Position Summary

Under Armour is seeking an Associate (Sr. Professional) Accessories Merchant to join a passionate and results-oriented Merchandising Team. As an Associate, this individual will be responsible for anticipating account needs, understanding the Accessories market landscape, and building an assortment and segmentation strategy for growth. A successful Associate Merchant will work in partnership with Global Merchandising, Sales, Planning, Marketing, and VM to ensure the complete execution of our GTM strategy.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Define the product assortment strategy for the Region, Distribution Channel (i.e. Sporting Goods, Mall, Family Channel, Outdoor), and Account Tiers.

• Define customer needs to create robust merchandising plans that drive sales and support the brand. Identify the optimal product mix (Right product, Right place, Right price & Right time) working to maximize the potential for revenue and profit.

• Support the Go To Market process development (act as the POD Champion) in partnership with Global Merchandising to build our Seasonal Plan creation

• Act as liaison and business partner with Sales, Planning, Marketing, and Visual Merchandising to ensure UA shows up strong in the market and maximizes profitability.

• Foster positive relationships with accounts gaining their feedback and insight as to product needs and consumer reactions to product assortments and items.

• Consolidate feedback from accounts and the market, both qualitative and quantitative, into actionable follow-up

• Analyze sales trends and the competitive landscape and make recommendations for strategic action.

Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)

• Ability to communicate product strategies verbally and in writing.

• Demonstrate strong skills in working cross-functionally

• Work productively in a matrixed environment

• Communicate effectively and influence partners

• Strong analytical and conceptual skills

Education And / Or Experience

• Bachelor’s degree required

• 3 years of experience in Product Management or Merchandising (Merch, VM, or Planning) positions

• Experience in a well-regarded consumer products company

• Have experience with various go-to-market models (direct-to-consumer, wholesale, retail, etc.)

• Industry experience in consumer products

Other Requirements

• Location: This individual must reside within commuting distance from our Global Headquarters in Baltimore, MD.

• Return To Work Designation: 1-2 days a week in office, the remainder of the work week remote.

• Travel: 5-10% of the year

Relocation

• Managed budget: “Relocation may be provided up to a specified amount”
