POSITION SUMMARY ** LOCATION NOTICE: This position is a telework role that requires travel to NYC\/Hartford. You must live close to a major airport with direct flights into NYC\/Hartford as a requirement for this position if you do not live within driving distance to these offices. Responsible for facilitating and driving the strategic development of Individual Medicare Advantage plans. Fundamental Components: Responsible for facilitating and driving the strategic development of Individual Medicare Advantage Dual Eligible Special Needs (D-SNP) plans. Specifically, this position is accountable for Individual Medicare Advantage DSNP product development and strategy nationally. The individual must be able to identify, research and review large amounts of competitive, market and financial and benefit datasets and use information to drive and develop strategy. Utilizing excellent relationship management skills, the position will be responsible for achieving market-level General Manager and Director of Operations' approval on strategic direction in support of a compliant, marketable, sustainable and profitable DSNP approach that aligns with the local Medicare Advantage portfolio. Ideal candidate will be comfortable presenting and defending strategic direction to various individuals within the Aetna organization, including senior-level executives. BACKGROUND\/EXPERIENCE desired: Candidate must be able to envision and advise upon a DSNP strategy in the immediate and long term (3-5 year), for all markets across a region with extensive experience and in-depth knowledge of the DSNP product designs. Candidate must also be able to work cross-functionally to support and deliver a comprehensive Medicare product portfolio and rationalize DSNP plans into a local market product strategy that aligns with operating gain targets in local markets. Candidate must have experience with various Medicare Advantage plan types, including HMO, R\/L PPO plans, bid mechanics such as CMS PBP filing, knowledge of local state regulations for integration, and experience with solving for the challenges unique to the DSNP product design. EDUCATION The highest level of education desired for candidates in this position is a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
