3M Purification, Inc. is seeking a Manufacturing Product Manager for the Industrial Business Group/Separation and Purification Sciences Division located in Meriden, CT. At 3M, you can apply your talent in bold ways that matter.  Here, you go.
Job Summary
The person hired for the position of Manufacturing Product Manager will be responsible for all aspects of manufacturing for Life Science and Industrial products in the Meriden, CT facility including EHS, Quality, Customer Service, Productivity, and Lean Six Sigma for production operations.  This role will have primary responsibility to supervise and coach the manufacturing supervisors and to deliver production operational objectives utilizing the Lean Management System.  This role is accountable for delivering business results while maintaining effective human relations with union production employees and salaried workforce.
Primary Responsibilities
include but are not limited to the following:
Lead EHS, Quality, Customer Service, Productivity, and Lean Six Sigma for production operations at the Meriden site. 

This role will have primary responsibility to supervise, develop, and coach the manufacturing supervisors and to deliver production operational objectives utilizing the Lean Management System.
Improve and maintain EHS compliance & quality standards (training, ISO standards, customer complaint resolution).
Accountable for alignment of plant goals to business results while maintaining effective human relations with union production employees and salaried workforce.
Active visible leader for EHS while championing both department and plant opportunities. 
Provides inspiring and inclusive leadership for support team to drive sustainable improvement through lean six sigma methodologies and meet the needs of the business. 
Participate in strategic operations planning, track capacity management &  key metrics.
Consistent plant personnel interactions and communication of plant results to employees.
Works collaboratively with support functions.
On-call for a 24-7 operation
Basic Qualifications:
Possess a Bachelor’s degree or higher in a science or engineering discipline (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution
Minimum of two years of manufacturing experience in private, public, government, or military environment
Minimum of one year of supervisory experience in private, public, government, or military environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree or higher from an accredited university
Minimum five years of manufacturing experience in a p
rivate, public, government or military environment.
Demonstrated communication and presentation skills.
Experience managing/leading other plant functions (ie quality, etc.)
Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma / VSMI processes
Understanding of Stock and Make to Order businesses
Experience with diverse businesses (i.e. industrial, consumer, etc.)
Experience with multiple Divisions
Strong background in Lean and Six Sigma tools
Lean Six Sigma Black Belt assignment
Location: Meriden, CT
Sales Territory: N/A
Travel: May include up to 5% domestic travel
Relocation: Is authorized
