What you’ll be doing...
This role of 5G Network Slicing Product Manager will play a crucial role in building and sourcing new advanced communication B2C/B2B2C products leveraging 5G. In this role, you will lead product ideation, design, development, and launch leveraging Network Slicing and MEC. You will build products that directly impact millions of customers!
Demonstration of product management and development competencies is required, including ideation, product strategy articulation, product roadmap development, functional specification, feature prioritization, usability testing, and product lifecycle management. Success in this position requires establishing symbiotic partnerships with internal stakeholders to gather and prioritize product and customer requirements, define product strategy, and manage development with external business partners to deliver a remarkable product experience for customers.
Good understanding of wireless core network architecture, interfaces and dependencies between network components. Aware of current and new technology benefits and related 3GPP specs.
Provide thought leadership to leverage Verizon’s next generation 5G network to strategize new service using Network Slicing and MEC.
Own and execute product offers and manage all associated operational activities throughout the product lifecycle in collaboration with other functional groups including Sales, Finance, Engineering, NPI and Services.
Interface with key stakeholder to continuously gather, define and prioritize product and roadmap requirements and provide aggregate product requirements.
Develop business cases to justify new product investments with focus on target customers, market segmentation, TAM, development/support costs and lifetime ROI.
Develop service requirements for new services using Network Slicing and/or MEC with differentiated and enhanced user experiences.
Evaluate new technology options to drive new business goals

You’ll need to have:
Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience
Six or more years of relevant work experience
Even better if you have:
A technical degree (masters in EE/CS preferred)
At least four years of wireless experience with proven track-record of successfully launching new product solutions
Required experience with IP Networking/routing, wireless core, and LTE/5G RAN
Proficient understanding of virtualization, NFV/SDN, network slicing, OpenStack virtual compute environments and Docker containers with Kubernetes orchestration.
Product management expertise with the ability to build internal and external relationships at all levels.
Effective leadership skills and ability to adapt to dynamic environments.
Strong knowledge on 3GPP standards on 5G, Network Slicing, and MEC
Solid organizational skills.
