Job Description The Sr Engineer serves as the central resource for subject matter expertise in all aspects of device and service design for services over cellular and Wi-Fi and emerging technologies for voice and data. Leads cross-functional teams to successfully deliver service and product to market through organizing large-scale analysis and architectural efforts spanning multiple departments. Duties include developing an overall solution and design for services from conception to delivery, including technical requirements, overall user experience design, testing strategy and support post-delivery. This person would present solution to executives and guide decision making. Responsibilities Develop a vision and strategic on new service technologies as well as plans for enhancing existing technologies on the T-Mobile network. Vendor Management. Works closely with T-Mobile vendors, device manufacturers and chipset providers to develop, deliver and support service solutions. Partner with product business owners in definition and management of product roadmap and business cases for new services as well as enhancement of existing services Collaborate with business owners and provide direction to project team by defining product experiences and end to end solutions. Develop executive summaries of solutions, designs and operational issues. Identifies critical success factors or KPIs that define and tracks how the process must perform to be effective. Optimize cross-functional partnership to successfully deliver product or service to market. Leads / organizes large scale analysis efforts spanning multiple departments including Handset teams, Engineering, DTD and frontline. Can successfully conduct customer impact assessments upon request. Track key performance indicators for live services, support and enhance products through the entire lifecycle Qualifications Good understanding of networking principles, Wi-Fi protocols and IP protocols Ability to communicate ideas and technical specs through documentation Ability to multitask, and cope with a dynamic environment where priorities are constantly revised to keep pace with a highly competitive industry Experience in product management and defining overall service requirements Excellent oral and written communication skills Ability of self-educating in new telecom technologies Minimum Qualifications Technical degree is highly desired.
