Job DescriptionThe Amazon Payment Acceptance & Experience Team is responsible for how Amazonu2019s customers pay on Amazonu2019s sites and through Amazonu2019s services around the globe. You will work with the biggest players in the payments industry to deliver best-in-class customer payment experiences while driving change in the industry. You will use your experience to drive innovative, customer-focused payment solutions to provide local paying experiences for Amazonu2019s customers around the globe. You will partner with FinTech companies, leading financial institutions and global payment networks to deliver best-in-class paying experiences. This role will have a heavy focus on driving payments innovation spanning diverse customer experiences. Additionally, you will need to be able to collaborate with a diverse set of internal and international teams to achieve success in this role. This role places a premium on someone who is effective at simplifying complex problems, innovating on behalf of customers, and leading developers to launch new products and technology. Day to Day:nn Identify, cultivate and launch new relationships with payment providers, 3rd party banks, payment networks and schemes.n Proactively work directly with payment partners to ensure understanding of Amazon and its strategies within the payment industry.n Provide strategic and pro-active guidance to internal Amazon businesses and stakeholders on new partnership opportunities.n Pitch ideas and capabilities to senior level decision makersn Evaluate and recommend product and service enhancements that improve payment acceptance globally and overall customer experiencennBasic Qualificationsnn 7 years of relevant work in product and/or business development or equivalent experience.n Experience securing partnerships with complex, sophisticated counter parties in the payments industry.n Sales and business development experience, gained in a high-tech, payments or e-commerce environment.n Proven negotiating skills and influencing abilities.n Ability to develop and implement a strategic vision.n Evidence of deploying new and complex initatives across teams.n Experience in a growth-oriented environment, where individuals set aspirational targets and are accountable for achieving goals.n Ability to handle the u2018hands-onu2019 day-to-day management of tasks, resolve problems and issues, and implement action plans to meet objectives.n Proven analytical skills and quantitative skills with demonstrated ability to manage the business u2018by the numbersu2019.
