Senior Product Marketing Manager

We are selectively recruiting for an exceptional senior product marketer to promote and launch innovative B2B digital products that reinvent how we interact with our Commercial customers, make credit decisions and manage the health of our $70bn portfolio. This person will own and develop all qualitative and quantitative content and collaborate directly with product management, engineering and design, while also supporting the needs of the heads of our commercial lines of business to drive product adoption and our users’ success.


Capital One’s Digital Commercial Banking team is defining the roadmap for the bank’s overall digital strategy, designing new, early stage products and services, and accelerating delivery through innovative methods and technologies. We are a high-tech company with an innovation laboratory within the only founder-led top 10 bank in the U.S.

As a Senior Product Marketing Manager for Capital One’s Digital Commercial Bank, you will be responsible for the enablement and adoption of our digital products for both internal and external users. The role is a mix of brand strategy, communications, user education, marketing analytics and optimization. An ideal candidate will have empathy for our users, deep understanding of our products, and be comfortable navigating user-level data to inform and execute go-to-market strategy while operating with tremendous empowerment and autonomy. This role will report to the Head of Product Management for Credit products in the Commercial Bank.

What will you do?

Lead marketing campaigns from concept to launch, including developing go-to-market strategy, collaborating with partners (e.g., product managers, designers, engineers, heads of our business lines) and communicating and building consensus amongst internal stakeholders

Create tailored go-to-market plans for new features and new user groups

Develop product messaging that is easily consumed and understood by our users to be used in-app and across multiple user engagement channels beyond email

Manage the analysis of user traffic data patterns and user testing and proactively seek and define opportunities to improve feature adoption and user experience

Develop and present analysis and insights as needed to key stakeholders and senior management

Identify and implement process, data, and reporting improvements

Participate in definition and execution of A/B multivariate tests

Partner with product and engineering associates to optimize splash pages with in-app tutorials and assistance features to achieve adoption and onboarding goals

Here’s what you’ll need to be successful:

Ability to balance bold creative and marketing strategy decisions with discipline and analytical rigor

Experience with a variety of marketing channels (e.g., in-app, web, video, in-person events)

Demonstrated ability to interpret and communicate findings to technical and non-technical audiences

Solutions oriented with a proven ability to work independently while prioritizing and managing multiple assignments concurrently

Results oriented – no task is too small or too big

Excellent verbal and communication skills

Strong relationship management, organizational and project management skills with the ability to influence peers, executives and cross-functional partners

Comfortable thinking on your feet and working through ambiguity in a matrixed, consensus-driven organization

Experience with presentation and analytical tools

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree or military experience

At least 5 years of marketing experience or at least 5 years of product management experience

Preferred Qualifications

At least 3 years of data analysis experience

Proven track record leading within a cross functional team environment

Experience in commercial banking or other financial services
