The Product Manager is required to demonstrate product management skills, experiences, and techniques in the identification, documentation, and implementation of strategic, cross-functional platform enhancements. The position will work with cross-functional teams, including but not limited to, Executive Leadership, Commercialization, Operations, IT, and Sales to deliver commercially-viable products that are developed internally or through external partnership. The position requires someone who perform the role of business technologist with a keen understanding of business issues, operations, and experience with 3rd party integrations. The position requires a self-starter with strong interpersonal skills, superior critical thinking skills, including the capacity to identify and appropriately assess potential opportunities and challenges associated with integrating new products into the AssetMark portfolio.
*Create formal business rationale, under the direction of senior leaders, for new products and capabilities while working as a facilitator across various internal organizations to ensure policies and processes are negotiated, documented, and executed accurately
*Identify, evaluate and recommend product design plan to ensure alignment with business need while taking into account internal capabilities and external options available
*Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to help project manage product integrations/launches/changes throughout implementation
*Evaluate and establish product priorities and scope to ensure they are in line with business objectives
*Coordinate voice of customer input as directed for establishing project deliverables and needs
*Support Strategic Initiatives in identifying characteristics and offerings of key competitors to ensure our products maintain competitive advantage and differentiation
*Develop project-related deliverables such as Product Definition Documents, Business Requirements documents, experience work flows, etc.
*Develop budgets, forecasts, metrics, and measures for platform initiatives. Monitor, evaluate, and communicate results to key stakeholders
*Influence business practices by driving innovative ideas, solutions, and products through advocacy, leadership, and action
*Support sales and marketing with the necessary product knowledge and expertise needed to development marketing collateral, sales tools, and training materials
*Act as a subject matter expert for all product related inquiries
