Position Description:Product marketing at Unitrends is individually responsible for two of the 7P’s of marketing: product and price and is collaboratively responsible for the other P’s of marketing as well. Product marketing at Unitrends is also responsible for alliance marketing as well as being responsible for content creation. Product marketing bridges the product management, marketing, and sales functions. Essential Tasks, Duties and Responsibilities: The Unitrends product marketing manager is responsible for proper messaging and positioning of Unitrends’ products and services. As a Product Marketing Manager, you will develop content within the 7P’s of marketing. Regarding promotion, this position will have emphasis on building relationships and developing content and demonstrations for technology and go-to-market alliances. You'll conceive and develop innovative marketing programs that builds relationships with alliances and partners and drives demand for sales. Attention to detail and an eye for quality, along with the ability to grasp and translate technical capabilities into benefits are crucial. In your role as a Product Marketing Manager you will be the expert in:Buyers - how they buy and their buying criteria and will transfer that knowledge to outbound marketing.Alliances – understanding partner motivations leveraging “fear and greed” to entice partners into joint go-to-market activities. Position Qualifications:A consuming passion to learn more about the data protection and storage space (existing understanding is a plus)Excellent written and oral communication skillsExcellent organizational and analytical skills with strong blend of business and technical abilities.BA/BS in software, business, or marketingIdeal candidate would have BE/BS preferred in computer engineering/science or related technical field with Masters in Business Administration or Marketing.Ideal candidate will have data protection, storage, and/or virtualization experience.
