Position Summary: This position manages the activities of systems development, applications development, test strategies and quality assurance functions for system improvements and new products pertaining to microservices and cloud based ADC products. Key responsibilities are to develop and manage people, provide technical leadership, lead project planning, facilitate communication, and offer product vision. Coordinates project timelines with Project and Development Managers, determines and obtains resources, assigns work, monitors progress and results, and provides technical leadership. This Manager is a champion for running agile development and help transition new teams to agile methodologies who have not embraced agile methodologies. This is a first-level management position. Primary Responsibilities: * Deep understanding and a leader in robust scalable, loosely coupled components and microservices that underpin cloud based ADC and security services * Manage SCRUM teams and Product Management to refine requirements, understand how we will meet the broader properties of the system and help design efficient, flexible, highly scalable and extensible services * Strong focus on DevOps use-cases, work-flows & an attitude to deliver end to end customer facing products and services. * Optimized internally for extensibility and enabling development teams to operate quickly * Drive critical component design decisions across working teams * Work to drive decisions through a crisp decision-making process and framework * Analyze criteria and options and gather necessary data to answer key questions * Meet with key partners, internal teams and 3rd party partners in joint design and development efforts while being able to articulate roadmap and product architecture. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: * Skilled in leading teams in development of microservices architecture & large scale API design and development. * Led teams in development & deployment across multiple cloud providers such as Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, VMWare and OpenStack * Deep understanding of a broad set of ADC component technologies. * Experience with Docker containers and orchestration platforms such as ECS, Kubernetes, Mesos and/or Swarm * Experience developing solutions using automation tools such as Ansible, Chief, Puppet, System Center * Experience developing automation for Terraform or infrastructure provisioning tools * Experience designing complex product technologies and initiatives from concept through release. * Able to collaborate and thrive in a dynamic inspiring environment. * Demonstrated excellence in written and verbal communications. * Regularly demonstrates teamwork by promoting others ideas, influencing others, and making teams successful. * Act as a mentor for junior members of the team. * Recommends and maintains technical design methodologies, processes and standards * Participates on multi-functional design teams to develop expertise in other modules/systems * Engages with Product Management to drive detailed product requirements Qualifications: * B.S. Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or other technical degree * 9 years software development experience, specifically shown working experience in the cloud, microservices and ADC space. * Understanding of networking with good knowledge of OSI Layer-1 to 7 including LAN switches, routers, general TCP/IP and associated protocols.
