Work you ll do As a Studio Senior in our practice you will:Serve as an integrator between business needs and technology solutions, helping to create technology solutions to meet clients business needsPerform project tasks independently, and may direct the efforts of othersParticipate in or lead the development of client deliverable contentAnticipate client needs and formulate solutions to client issuesReview deliverables for accuracy and qualityProvide coaching to junior staff Contribute to new business proposalsManage own personal and professional development, seeking opportunities for expansion of consulting skills and experiencesDesign and deliver end-user, Web- and Mobile-based applicationsEngage in client discovery, user and ethnographic researchEngage in industry/product market researchCommunicate client discovery to functional team and studio UX, Creative, and DevelopmentDefine the technical and user-centric design challenge and visionCreate usable and intuitive concepts for complex and highly functional problemsAdeptly and quickly get from fuzzy problems to working solution prototypes (via wireframes, visual mock-ups and clickable prototypes)Responsible for articulating and defending conceptual and directional choices representing studio design work directly to clientsLead a cross-functional teamYou are the ambassador between the business world and studio teams, able to work with the studio team to catapult the client s needs into a successful productCommunicate using the language of consulting (business drivers, process and needs) as well as design (user-centric, front-end experience creation)Pursue a fascination with the current and future state of digital media The team Transparency, innovation, collaboration, sustainability: these are the hallmark issues shaping Federal government initiatives today. Our Federal Deloitte Digital practice works with a broad array of clientsto create advanced mobile applications, using agile development methods and small cross-functional teams of Developers, UX Designers, Visual Designers, and QA Engineers. Qualifications Required:Bachelor's degree and at least 3 years of technology consulting or other relevant industry experienceExperience working independently with minimal supervision and guidanceStrong problem solving and troubleshooting skills with experience exercising mature judgmentProven experience effectively prioritizing workload to meet deadlines and work objectivesDemonstrated ability to write clearly, succinctly, and in a manner that appeals to a wide audienceProficiency in word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation creation tools, as well as Internet research toolsUp to 10% travel requiredMust be able to obtain and maintain required clearance for this roleA love of growing businesses and a passion for designAt least 5 years of relevant consulting, digital agency, or industry experienceAt least 3 years of direct experience in Interface Design, Interaction Design, or Information Architecture rolesAt least 2 years of direct experience in agile process design (including requirement gathering, wireframing, visual design, development and user testing)At least 2 years of experience leading cross-functional teams (and counseling junior staff)Working experience with industry-standard user experience, graphic design and front-end development tools (including Invision, Sketch, Keynote, OmniGraffle, Axure, Adobe Creative Suite, and other design and prototyping tools)Thorough understanding of the design process, product management principles, client relationship management, and pre-sales activitiesAbility and willingness to travel to/from client sitePreferred: Previous professional services or consulting experienceSense of humorSelf-motivated, problem-crushing attitudeWillingness to learn new things and teach others what you knowStrong written and verbal communication skillsStrong presentation and group facilitation skillsBelief that all things can be better How you ll growAt Deloitte, our professional development plan focuses on helping people at every level of their career to identify and use their strengths to do their best work every day.
