The Digital Center of Excellence at Humana Corporation is looking for a skilled digital professional to help manage the API Product Development team.  Humana is a Fortune #53 leader in consumer health solutions making strong investments in digital leadership and best in class digital technologies.

You will lead the day to day efforts of the API Development team working to implement the API roadmap and converting the strategic direction for the API Program into strong product value for our consumers and partners.

You will work closely with leaders within Humana’s Digital Center of Excellence as well as extensively with the Digital IT API Delivery Team and other relevant Line of Business IT Teams.

The API Product Owner will be responsible for managing the API Product Development team in the delivery of the API portfolio, Developer Portal, API Design and Configuration Tools, Analytics and other Integrations as needed or desired.  The individual in the role will be accountable for driving the functional requirements, user stories and prioritization of functions to be built in alignment with the strategic direction for the API Program. The role holder will ensure clarity of details for the delivery team to execute.

Role & Responsibilities:

API Product Management- Lead implementation of APIs according to the API strategy. Manage APIs changes and versions throughout the product’s life cycle, based on lessons learned and market forces, manage and Prioritize the API Product Backlog.

API Platform Management- Advance the development and delivery of the API Program Platform (Developer Portal, API Design and Configuration tools, Analytics)

Help inform and contribute to the evolution of API strategy and API roadmap, by taking into account external environment (digital, healthcare, technology) and Humana enterprise and LOB strategies.

API technology and best practices consultancy - Develop a deep understanding and stay up to date on API technological advances and API delivery best practices. Serve as a consulting resource to DCoE leaders and LOB teams for API Development and the API Program Portfolio.','!*!Role Essentials

Candidate will hold a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology or related field;

Have strong Product Management experience, preferentially in an API context.

Having both business and IT credentials is a strong plus

Must have demonstrated success in managing digital products/services, in large Fortune 1000 and/or in joint venture environments

Have a deep understanding of APIs and application development

Have an entrepreneurial mindset and skills to manage cross-functional teams

Be highly self-directed and have the ability to quickly develop familiarity with multiple disciplines and technologies, including Humana digital systems

Ability to think creatively about solutions is a key success factor in the role.

Demonstrate a passion for ownership through a track record of successfully achieving results

Have strong project management skills, including a proven ability to think end-to-end, establish priorities, manage long-term projects, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.Role Desirables

Prior Marketing Experience for a Fortune 500 company

Experience working in or with Humana's Digital Center of ExcellenceReporting Relationships

You will report to a marketing leader. This area is under the leadership of the SVP & Chief Marketing Officer.
