SFI NOAM: Product Manager

The Product Manager will be responsible for T&L's growth by meeting the needs of both customers and consumers in the Food and Beverage landscape. The Product Manager will achieve customer solutions by leveraging SFI NOAM's sum of the parts mindset. In addition, the The Product Manager will:

* Deliver against volume and margin growth targets.

* Lead strategic planning, execution and reliable product line performance by coordinating activities with functions including: manufacturing, sales, marketing, supply chain, customer service and quality.

* Manage the sum of the parts product portfolio in the region, in conjunction with cross-functional leaders.

* Coordinate the project pipeline in the region ensuring a prioritized stream of innovative projects and successful product launches.



* Work with other Product Managers and global stakeholders to design business strategy, vision, value proposition and goals for the product lines, in alignment with NOAM 5 year growth strategy.

* Work closely with the Channel Sales Directors to share and collect customer input/insight from sales and through customer meetings to be integrated as part of the sales and product line strategy. Participate in joint customer calls when needed.

* Lead the development and execution of product line business plans & price by product platform, ensuring proper communication across the organization and adequate issue prioritization.

* Develop and implement business plan to meet or exceed targets.


* Work together with management to outline the AOP targets (growth rate, revenue, gross contribution, profit criteria).

* Identify and prioritize opportunities to add value to our customers.


* Develop regional market intelligence for product lines (including industry supply-and-demand), anticipate major changes in the market environment at the earliest possible stage to align approach where necessary.

* Build and maintain a SWOT analysis and competitive overview for each product line and key competitor.


* Align and select prioritized pipeline projects and ensure their successful execution, from business case to completion.

* Manage the innovation pipeline in coordination with Channel Sales Directors, Application teams and ICD.


* Lead cross-functional team of Ops, sales, finance, technical, supply chain to develop P&L targets.

* Collaboration: Connect with colleagues in other regions to ensure total collaboration and leveraging on each other's knowledge and resources when applicable (competition analysis, R&D, S&D, global pricing at large accounts).

* Manage Product Line support requests in coordination with CSD's, Marketing, ICD, Customer Service and Supply Chain. (This will include pricing policy, general market information, value proposition and specific requests to facilitate the sales process).


* Represent the product lines in S&OP activities, assessing internal supply-demand balance and projecting financial estimates.

* Manage the product portfolio, with cross-functional inputs, to meet existing and future volume and margin expectations and in support of NOAM Sales Team customer segmentation.


* Lead the product line cross-functional team to ensure alignment and prioritize quality issue-resolution.

* Develop quality as key metric in the value proposition.

* With QA, drive for quality leadership in the customer value proposition.


* Strong business acumen

* Ability to navigate in complex matrix organization and manage to maintain all stakeholders aligned and communicated

* Knowledge of the food and beverage industry, food ingredient markets, competitors and supply chains

* Ability to build effective work teams

* Proven track record of success managing large projects and multiple projects concurrently

* Strong action orientation, self-starter and able to work independently as needed

* Proven track record of creating value and relevant tools from scratch

* Functional empathy; able to understand the workflows, needs and pain points of colleagues in diverse roles from engineers to designers and business leaders.

* Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw conclusions in a logic and disciplined manner

* Experience operating different business models from assumptions to recommendations

* Strong negotiation skills

* Comfort discussing technical details to lead brainstorms with engineers, know what questions to ask and identify topics to address

* Excellent communication (verbal and written), interpersonal and collaboration skills

* Proficiency with SAP Business Warehouse, Advanced Microsoft Excel, Power Point, Word and/or other software tools (advanced functions for data analysis)

* Ability to travel, up to 30% as needed



* 4 year college degree

* 7 years of relevant business experience (Product/Brand management or related)

* Demonstrated ability to manage financial elements of the business

* Proven track record of delivering results

* Strong business acumen

* Demonstrated ability to lead projects

* Demonstrated ability to translate data into strategic insights

* Strong verbal & written communications skills

* Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate and influence customers, employees, and senior management

* Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, engineering, food science or related discipline


* 5 years' experience in product management, business development, sales, marketing or merchandizing in a food ingredient business

* Proven conceptual and strategic thinking skills and execution abilities

* Demonstrated ability to generate value and new business in a B2B(business to business) capacity

* Ability to manage innovation projects, including product launches and new business development in a fast pace environment


* Experience in business development or marketing role at a Blue Chip FMCG

* Food Marketing Experience:- ideally with a strong B2B profile

* Experience in large data analysis and building of strategic insights

* Using of insights to develop compelling value propositions

* Experience in a consulting environment

* Project Management

* Demonstrate strong partnering, collaboration and entrepreneurial approach
