Job Summary

Responsible for the technical program management activities and alignment for strategic programs, coordinating among a wide range of cross-functional internal and external resources to ensure that programs are within the scope, within budget and on schedule, with guidance from senior staff member(s). Serve as the program lead for specific, defined multi-discipline technical programs or projects of greater than average complexity and scope. Responsible and accountable in the planning, development and delivery of new technical programs. Integrates knowledge of business and functional priorities. Acts as a key contributor in a complex and crucial environment. May lead teams or projects and shares expertise.

Job Description

Core Responsibilities

Join our team of Program Managers based in our Philadelphia headquarters office where you will work primarily onsite with flexibility

Run the collaboration and planning needed within our technical programs that will contribute to moving impactful technical products from inception to market launch

Leans on strong communication to encourage collaboration from cross functional teams where needed, to reach significant objectives that will change the world of technology

Facilitates the development of goals, objectives and criteria for the program's success using knowledge about technical areas

Supports the budget and resource forecasting exercises

Analyzes areas of risk by establishing contingency plans and identifies potential trigger events while assuming responsibility to action accordingly, and raise concerns proactively where needed

Works with leadership and core team members to help identify and assist in making program tradeoffs to balance scope, time and costs while developing resolutions to complex problems that require the frequent use of creativity. Ensures proper documentation.

Tracks the program timeline, and analyzes the actual performance against the plan, constantly making adjustments where needed to reach scheduled targets.

Develop creative solutions to complex challenges and strategize to meet challenging objectives

Communicates updates on major milestones and keeps all program partners, including external customers, informed of progress and issues. Identifies and leads proposed changes to technical program parameters and works with management to ensure appropriate processes and communications are followed.

Consistent exercise of independent and collaborative judgment and discretion in matters of significance

Operates in program or product management with agile principles in mind

Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Preferred Experience:

7-10 years of technical program or product management experience

Ability to work onsite in our Philadelphia office

Undergraduate degree or equivalent work experience

Experience with driving the success of programs focused on hardware development, embedded firmware or application software development specifically

Deep understanding of SDLC

Experience driving major program initiatives with multiple phases and business partners

Background in agile processes and principles

Self-starter with passion for driving problem resolution and collaboration across functional teams

Comfort and familiarity running technical discussions, summarizing plans, handling trade-offs, and translating to non-technical teams (Finance, Legal, etc.)

Experience with technical program management technologies such as Jira, Confluence, and Smartsheets

Proven track record of successful programs and product launches

Education

Bachelor's Degree
