Technical Product Manager, Controls (Buffer, SRM, DMS)

In this role, you will lead a highly skilled team in the transformation of traditional machine level controls and high level software products into single integrated real time controls software solutions. Position Summary:
Technical Product Manager, Controls
Drive standard logistics automation and mechatronics control modules
Develop and drive the off-board controls roadmap into a set of clear and actionable requirements
Leverage their technical ability to guide Development teams to create and bring leading products to market
The Technical Product Manager, Controls will:
Work with Global Product Engineering (GPE) to increase the efficiency, cost competitiveness, capabilities and robustness of our standard off-board control products
Collaborate with Mechatronics Product Management and CTO to
Align controls roadmap to the broader Mechatronic roadmap
Coordinate automation and module release efforts
Monitor adherence to targets and market requirements
Work with the GPE organization on Beta site implementation and adoption of standard machine software globally during commercialization and post commercialization phases
In this position you will serve as the external and internal evangelist for your product offering
Establish and monitor product development advancements
Establishes product strategies and roadmap.
Identify industry best methods and standardized software processes that will enhance our customer’s distribution flow, productivity and accuracy
Drives to a common set of solution-sets through market requirements, product content and positioning.
Contributes to the architecture of our real-time execution and control platform.
Proactively seeks innovation to improve existing products, optimization potential, performance and methods.
Develops and monitors comprehensive product launch plans to ensure successful results.
Directs Agile development teams by providing strategy, direction, creation of epics, stories and acceptance criteria, drives backlog grooming and interacts with developments teams during sprints.
Manages Controls product life cycles from strategic planning and tactical activities to product and release sunsetting.
Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or Computer Science degree or Product Management in a heavily technical/engineering industry related work experience a strong plus
Knowledge / Qualifications:
5 years of Controls Product Management or Technical Sales experience.
Controls Knowledge & Experience
Automation industry knowledge and controls systems background required
Experience with real-time controls hardware, devices and networks
Experience with real-time operating systems or PLCs
Experience with visualization, HMI and SCADA technologies
Experience in warehouse logistics mechatronics control modules
Experience with developing scalable, modular, performance-driven controls platforms and products.
Success leading cross-functional teams, with a collaborative style, and aptitude in team facilitation
Outstanding team building skills with the ability to improve interaction and efficiency as well as the ability to break down barriers and silos
Strong communication, presentation and writing skills for all levels within an organization
Experience in distributed work environments or international business setting
Excellent written and verbal communications
Travel to customer and non-customer sites, traveling up to 25%
