Category Manageru00A0u00A0Purpose and Scope/General Summary: Pilgrimu2019s is searching for a Category Manager to develop complex data modeling, create dynamic and insight driven reporting, and perform aggregated market research that will create and leverage high value insights that deliver innovative and sustainable value, operational efficiencies, and risk mitigation to the organization. u00A0This role will help manage, provide, and optimize our strategic and enterprise pricing across all Brands, Retail/Foodservice channels by collaborating directly with our national sales force and the BU.Candidates mustu2026 be a cultural fit for Pilgrimu2019s, take initiative, communicate, work independently & cross functionally, build meaningful relationships, simplify complex analysis, and provide actionable fact-based recommendations to deliver results.u00A0This role will be in the office of Greeley, Colorado, at the JBS USA corporate and report into the Director of Business Development and Analytics.Responsibilities: Organize, prepare, and maintain large, complex datasets for analysis and interpretation by the business. Produce robust, intelligent, and dynamic pricing which take into account the competitive landscape, industry trends, and at-the-market factors. Raises concerns when scope of analysis may not align with time available and can choose an appropriate scope of analysis to conduct balancing ROI to time available. Understands the business value, process, and expectations before focusing on choice of a technical solution. Ability to focus on the now but to see the horizon. It is critical that the candidate can move seamlessly between short-term planning and long-term planning. Implement tracking and analytics for key performance indicators of spend and work in coordination with Manager and sales team to improve return or realize pounds, velocity, and incremental sales from promotion. Manage comprehensive processes of winning distribution. Ensuring that we have the right product on the right shelf, that we can win market share within the category, and execute a promotional strategy that optimizes incremental sales while maintaining the required contribution margin. Execute monthly and quarterly pricing and promotion activities as needed, cross-functionally in coordination with finance, customer service, category, and sales. Leverage IRI, Retail Link, 84.51 Stratum, SAP and CRM platform (Customer Relationship Management u2013 Blacksmith/Telus) to understand brand position and prioritize high value targets, in coordination with our sales team. Must have working industry experience with commodity pricing and strategic implementation of pricing changes in the marketplace. Ability to u201Csee through the fogu201D, by taking disparate data sets and tie them together to tell a story quickly, dynamically, and functionally for the organization to consumer. Proven ability to analyze data, develop insights, deliver recommendations & drive results. Proficient communication skills, capable of influencing cross-functional behavior. Ability to work within a matrix organization as a proven collaborator and problem solver. CPG industry application experience preferred; Telus, Blacksmith, Forge, Interflex, etc. Excellent skills with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) to drive simple and effective communication to all levels of the organization. 5 years category or technical analyst experience in Retail/Foodservice/CPG required. Bacheloru2019s Degree u2013 business, planning, analytics or finance preferred. Travel up to 10% as needed for strategic sales support.
