Job DescriptionManager, Consumer Product Safety Amazon Product Compliance is looking for a smart, energetic, hard-working, and creative candidate to join our Global Product Safety and Compliance team in Seattle. The successful candidate shows excellent judgment and instincts in decision making and proactively and continually improves their level of knowledge about Amazon\u2019s business, its platform, and relevant technologies. This is an exciting and challenging position that provides Product Compliance support for the US-based Product Safety and Recalls team and contributes to Global Programs to align and improve processes and systems. This position will develop technical safety and compliance policy documents on consumer products and toys in particular. We are looking for a talented Program Leader who has direct experience with toys and children products to support our rapidly growing and evolving business. Key responsibilities · Ensure that regulatory requirements are met for new products and support other functions such as Retail, Seller Support, Product Quality, Customer Service, and Legal. · Develop and execute best-in-class processes and tools. · Drive scalable business solutions which ensure safety and compliance of toys, children products. · Proven ability to manage large and complicated projects.
Basic Qualifications · Knowledge of product compliance processes and the interplay with global supply chains. · Bachelor's degree required with a scientific or technical focus. · 8 years of experience in toys or children products quality assurance, safety and/or regulatory compliance. · Specific knowledge and experience in Consumer product safety regulations and standards such as ASTM/CEN/ISO/UL committees or working groups. · Must be able to use Excel, Word and other common desktop software applications. Must also be comfortable learning web applications and proprietary software. · Proven ability to work collaboratively both cross-functionally and vertically within an organization. · Effective verbal communication, confident presentation style and excellent document preparation skills.
