The Product Line Manager is responsible for the product line profitability and product line lifecycle from strategic planning to tactical execution. Development of new ideas and concepts based on industry experience and voice of customer requires a unique blend of business, marketing and technical savvy in order to drive a product line vision into reality. The position cooperates with all functions of the company including but not limited to R&D, Sales, Marketing, Manufacturing & Operations, Finance, Legal and Sales Operations.   Principle accountabilities include:

Manage product line revenue and profitability growth. This includes idea management, NPD prioritization and launch process. It also includes new product initiative metrics like vitality, obsolescence and pricing.

Manage product line roadmap and lifecycle from strategic planning through to end of life for our Industrial Cable business. This includes high-level business planning and working with department managers and corporate staff to develop three year and five year business plans for the business.

Specifying customer requirements for current and future product.

Provide competitive analysis and market positioning - Research and develop strategies and plans which identify marketing opportunities, direct marketing, and new project development.

Coordinate with sales and marketing teams to create comprehensive go-to-market plans

Serve as the internal and external evangelist for the product line

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Communications, or Business; MBA is preferred

Minimum of 5 years in product line management and a minimum of 3 years of industry experience.

Demonstrated ability to develop and launch commercial marketing programs

Demonstrated ability to interface effectively with end users and convey the voice of the customer with the company

Knowledge/experience in strategic planning and execution, planning marketing strategies, portfolio management and marketing campaigns; ability to motivate teams to produce quality materials within tight timeframes and simultaneously manage multiple projects; ability to participate in and facilitate group meetings; professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to quantitatively identify the root cause of product demand issues within the channel to market and work effectively to lead the organization in counter measure.

Ability to travel 10-25%
