In this Program Management role you will own strategic design and delivery of innovative partner programs that support the AWS Partner community in serving customers in the Public Sector (i.e. Government, Education, and Nonprofit) industries. You will work cross-functionally with AWS teams and partners around the world to support and accelerate growth of the AWS Public Sector partner community. This is a unique opportunity to play an integral role in the incredibly fast-growing AWS Public Sector team, owning high visibility projects in a Greenfield space. AWS is seeking a strong Program Manager who is passionate about growing a fast-paced international business, a self-starter who enjoys shaping their own role and team. The ideal candidate is experienced in driving broad scale, programmatic efforts that impact global results. S/he will have demonstrated strong product management, product marketing, partner/alliance programs experience, and go-to-market skills, and has a proven ability to learn new technologies quickly. Core Roles & Responsibilities \u2022Manage and improve new public sector (government, education, non-profit) partner programs. \u2022Work closely and communicate effectively with partners, AWS sales and partner teams, and AWS HQ teams around the world \u2022Work with existing US and INTL partner field organizations to define and execute joint sales and channel go to market strategy. \u2022Drive program implementation with partner managers (internal) and partners (external); proactively communicate with senior and executive level stakeholders \u2022Engage the partner field sales organization and partner channels to represent WWPS business perspectives proactively. Understand the business and technical requirements of our partners and work closely with the internal development team to guide the direction of our product offerings. \u2022Develop and track key performance metrics utilizing Salesforce.com, Microsoft Excel, and other internal Amazon systems. \u2022Identify opportunities to improve our internal tools and processes, including driving automation of repeatable work, and increasing overall team efficiency. \u2022Ability to travel as necessary to implement new programs (up to 25% travel, within the US)
Basic Qualifications\u2022Bachelor degree in business, technology, or relevant field of study \u20225 years of enterprise technology experience in program or product management, bringing new programs to market \u20223 years Experience working with partners and developing channel programs \u20223 years Experience working within the enterprise software product industry \u2022Experience designing and implementing high value, complex, customer-facing programs\u2022Demonstrated ability to work independently and autonomously\u2022Program management experience working with public sector customers (government, education, & nonprofit)\u2022Experience working with Microsoft Office, including Excel formulas and reporting
