Product Manager III
Lead the development of new content product features for Samsung Connected Life, a TV overlay product that provides access to news, information, services that fit into a user’s daily life. Full product life cycle management: Initial ideation, design, specification, development, regular analytics review, product iteration, and ongoing maintenance. Conceptualize good features, work with the Design team to make sure the user’s experience is the priority, and collaborate with the Engineering team to implement an efficient, scalable architecture that can be executed on a reasonable timeline. Work with the Product Director to come up with new product and feature ideas. Communicate the product mission to the Design team and collaborate with them to solve specific user problems. Review usability test plans and results and iterate same. Create PRDs and other specification documents. Collaborate with the Engineering team to develop architecture and specific development tasks. Coordinate with the Marketing team to understand opportunities to drive product awareness/adoption. Deep immersion in product analytics data in order to understand strengths and weaknesses of product and make recommendations for iteration. Work with 3rd parties on various types of collaboration and service integration.
Necessary Skills / Attributes
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, a related field, or a foreign equivalent, plus five (5) years of progressively responsible post-baccalaureate experience in server side programming and API platform development. Experience must also include rest API; user-centered design; web service development/management; usage pattern analysis; and computer networks. Requires 5% international and 5% domestic travel.
