We are EA

Electronic Arts is more than you’ve ever realized. We’re more than a company, or a headline, or even a clever catchphrase – we’re a vibrant community of over 8,000 artists, storytellers, technologists and innovators working toward a shared vision: to inspire and unite through play.

While headquartered in Redwood City, EA's platform engineering, game development, and publishing operations take place in a network of locations, stretching from Shanghai to Stockholm, Melbourne to Vancouver. No matter which of our studio locations you join, you’ll feel the energy and support of EA’s global brand, while immersing yourself in a culture that inspires you to thrive, take risks and dream big. Our unique studios create amazingly creative and fun games - fast paced puzzles, adrenaline filled warfare, galaxy spanning adventures, high speed racing, and sports so realistic you can practically feel the grass under your feet.

This is an especially great time for the videogame industry which has a vibrant community of connected players around the globe playing on more devices than ever before. EA is transforming toward a digital future both in the games and services we create as well as how we connect and engage with our players.

The Challenge Ahead:

EA’s Digital Platform (EADP) organization is responsible for driving critical technology development and investments for EA on a global scale, supporting all divisions and studio teams. Technology and engineering leadership at EA is critical to making the industry’s best games and services and the EADP team is leading the way to providing cross-device capabilities and infrastructure that will keep our consumers connected with our games anytime, anywhere with anyone.

What a Sr. Director, Platform Product Management does at EA:

They will coordinate and maintain the integrated view of capabilities, including establishing common nomenclature and reconciling service definitions and boundaries.

This role’s value multiplier is through orchestration and influence with partner teams, driving ‘one team’ vision, speaking with one voice, operating as one platform. They will craft the unified ‘voice of the platform’ and ensure each team speaks in unison, and the parts come together in harmony.

As Sr. Director, Platform Product Management you will

+ Partner deeply with Heads of Product and individual Product Managers across each of the EADP Domains and Service teams to integrate Product Capability definitions and roadmaps into a cohesive, unified Platform product roadmap. + Identify gaps or conflicts in capabilities, integration points, terminology, and work across product teams to reconcile. This role will work with teams to establish the format, taxonomy and mediums for managing and maintaining the official plan of record, of Products available for integration and use by customers, including their state of readiness/availability for use.

+ Coordinate across EADP domains to help drive cross-domain or cross-CTO product/capability initiatives. Collaborate with initiative leaders to understand long-term strategies as well as short-term goals to shape the product vision. Help develop KPIs for cross-domain initiatives.

+ Propose, refine and help develop product vision documents for new Product strategies. Document systems boundaries and capabilities. Conduct gap analysis and recommend changes to existing capabilities and systems. Identify, prioritize and propose new capabilities and systems required. Identify duplicate capabilities and systems and work with Domain and service owners to converge/eliminate those redundancies.

+ Conduct market research to understand the competitive landscape and market opportunity. Utilize results to inform greater EADP product platform strategy and timeline.

+ Define the documentation strategy and information architecture for Product overviews and integrator documentation. Provide requirements, set goals and review progress and output for developer documentation content, including dotted-line functional tasking of the Documentation team.

+ Drive common voice and structure for developer content elements of the Developer Portal and EADP voice to internal customers; ensure EADP content owners are delivering consistent high quality that tells a comprehensive and integrated story

+ Coordinate cross-domain efforts to unify and improve the game developer experience across Domains and Service teams. This includes mechanisms such as unified roadmap, developer newsletter/progress communication, integrated documentation strategies and nomenclature. Provide best in breed examples and guidance

+ Create executive level collateral, orchestrating and refining content and roadmaps from domain and content owners to produce synthesized and highly consumable views of broad platform strategies and activities. Present updates to senior leadership.

+ Coordinate and develop executive communications and presentations for CTO including: quarterly all hands content related to collective EADP product work; gathering key information and content for Board of Directors presentations and other cross-domain efforts and executive communications
